Melankoliks
A bold, material-driven visual identity and photographic system for Melankoliks, an art collective challenging the elitism of the local gallery scene through accessible concrete sculpture.
Melankoliks required an identity that reflected the raw, industrial nature of their concrete and resin sculptures. The design approach draws directly from the form of "letter sculptures," creating a typographic system that feels as weighted and permanent as the statues themselves. We developed a visual language that is intentionally rough and bold, mirroring the brand's mission to bridge the gap between "concrete minds" and accessible art. To support this, we executed a product photography series focusing on high-contrast lighting and texture, emphasizing the interplay of shadow and the multi-dimensional surfaces of the physical pieces.
